Scandinavia POOL & TAK

Because of the uncomplicated, quick and easy assembly method, pools are ideal for self-assembly.
Below you will find some tips on how to set up the basin.

WE INVITE YOU TO DOWNLOAD THE MANUAL

STEP 1

In a place designated for the pool, based on the technical drawing, a hole should be dug with dimensions slightly larger than the dimensions of the basin (about 20-40 cm more on each side). It should be noted that in the place where the upper part of the pool will be located, the bottom should be larger, while where the lower part (bottom) of the pool will be, the bottom should narrow.

WARNING! In the case of wetlands or groundwater, a drainage band should be installed around the pool (approx. 0.5 m away). Drainage pipes along the entire length must be surrounded by a 20 cm filter coating, e.g. washed with coarse gravel, granulated slag or expanded clay.

At this stage of work, it is also necessary to mark a place and make a trench for the filtration room, i.e. the well (according to the technical drawing of the well). The excavation for the filtration room should be slightly larger than the dimensions of the well (approx. 10 cm larger on each side). It is recommended that the filtration room be made at a minimum distance of 60 cm from the pool wall, the optimal solution would be to place it at a distance of 60-100 cm, with each subsequent meter the filtration device may lose its power, and thus will not properly meet their function.

WARNING! In the case of a trench for a filtration room, drainage is always mandatory, even though there is no groundwater.

STEP 2

At the bottom of the excavated pits, we make a concrete PLATE (B20 class concrete) 10-15 cm thick with a leveled bottom (in the case of a pool) and 8-10 cm thick (in the case of a well). To protect against subsidence or moving of the soil, the concrete slab will be reinforced with a steel rod, ribbed, Ø 8 – 10 mm (in case of a well, reinforcement of the screed is not necessary). These works should be done at least 3 days before the planned assembly of the pool.

STEP 3

In the trench prepared for the pool, we embed a trough. After setting the pool on a concrete slab, we check the levels and settings of the basin relative to the garden. Once we are sure that the pool has been set evenly, we can proceed to the next step.

STEP 4

Before we fill the pool with water, we cut out holes (if they are not cut out), and then we install the pool accessories in the wall of the basin.

STEP 5

We cut holes in the sump, mount the filtration kit in it, and then embed the well into the smaller prepared excavation. The next step is to connect the piping of the filtration set in the sump with the fittings in the pool wall.

STEP 6

We pour about 20 cm of water into the pool and check again if the pool is level.

STEP 7

We cover the sides of the pool with dry cement and sand mix in a ratio of 1: 5 or with ready B5 mix until the water and mix levels are even. Pour the dry mix with water so that it adapts perfectly to the shape of the pool.

STEP 8

Repeat steps VI and VII until the pool is completely filled with water.

WARNING! When filling the pool with water, make sure that no water leaks from under the seals of the devices installed in the pool wall and filterbox.

Additional information:

For the filtration set to do its best, it should be placed near the pool, preferably below the skimmer level (then the filtration pump will be primed automatically). It is recommended that the sand filter be placed in a waterproof room so that moisture does not get there. Such a room can also be made / walled up independently (in a previously prepared trench). However, it should be remembered that the well prepared in this way should be completely airtight.

We are not responsible for incorrect installation of the filterbox !!!

WARNING!

DO NOT fill the free standing pool with water without backfilling with sand and cement mix around pool, because the pressure exerted by water on its walls may cause the structure to tear(damage walls) !!!

An empty pool can be lifted by ground water, so you should cover it with a mixture of sand and cement, and in the winter empty the pool 10 cm below the inflow nozzles (if lamps are installed in the pool, 10 cm below the lamps level). It should be remembered that in each case there must be a minimum of ½ water in the pool!

DO NOT empty the pool of water completely in winter !!!
Pool has to be placed on leveled concrete plate and have Drainage pipes around to protect the pool from ground waters. Concrete plate has to be clean dry and without any standing elements over the surface. Between pool bottom and plate space has to be perfect clean and straight.
Customer is fully responsible for prepare hole in ground Drainage and concrete plate. Around pool use dry mix of cement and sand!!
Only following with this instruction will let You have waranty for pool.
